Is This Astology

I often hear of people's appalling stories about astrologers - astrologers pitilessly swindling money out of people, astrologers misguiding people by making them feel they are empowered to alter the consequences of their own choices.

When I was in middle school, I had a friend who was bright but truly lazy. Every semester, a few days before the examinations began, she would go see her family astrologer to seek guidance on successfully achieving a passing grade on her exams. The astrologer would recommend some worthless remedy such as “Feed a stray dog one day before your examinations and you shall be successful” and she would pay him handsomely for this. She somehow managed to make it through middle school. The first year of her high school, she did the same charade and was not able to pass all her examinations and went complaining to the astrologer. The astrologer was starting to get a little nervous now, because high school was no joke. Even my bright friend’s brains needed a little exercise with the course material to be able to pass all her exams. So, the clever astrologer suggested to her – “You were not able to pass all examinations because you did not feed the right dog. You must find a three-legged dog that has a black-colored right ear and a white-colored left ear”. My poor friend spent days looking for such a stray dog, running after every stray dog in the neighborhood and checking his ear. Needless to say, she ended up in the hospital a few days before her examination. She had been bit by a three-legged dog, who was evidently unhappy about her trying to pull its ear!”

Doesn’t this make you question: Is this astrology?
